My name is Mairie Gelling, and many years ago I kept a blog called Word in the Hand. My last entry was in 2020 and, although I continued to engage with Scripture daily in my role as a school chaplain, the time to write seemed sadly absent.
This new blog is a return to that practice — a place to explore the Sunday Gospel anew and to wonder how time, experience, and grace have opened my heart to finding meaning and inspiration in daily life.
